Seeing the Light!

It is a difficult thing to admit you are weak…I do admit it though. It feels arrogant to say that we are doing this work in an effort to change the world, but if I do not believe we can do that, even in some small way, then I should not be involved in this organization.

To effect change, make an impact, to get things done, requires determination, resilience, and a mighty strength that I just do not possess. Yet, if I want to continue to do this work, I will need to be determined and resilient and strong. I am tired, I often find myself frustrated, always trying to find how to have enough time and energy. The frazzled feeling of being overwhelmed can swallow one up, unless one decides to “PRESS ON”. I need to remember where the strength required comes from, and I know it is not from me…

Psalm 73:26
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

2 Corinthians 12:9
9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

And so we press on…

The container is at the border of Kenya / Tanzania, it should be in Uganda Tomorrow. I travel in 1 week… Karine, and the rest of the team depart in just 14 days now. I think of where we were at just months ago, we have come such a long way...we have a long way to go, and when I look up, I know, we will get there.

May God bless Niteo, and its partners as we make our journey to Uganda. May He lead and protect the team as we meet and serve the people of Kampala, and we experience the blessed and beautiful land that is Africa.

Okay you guys, am crying now, en everyone is wondering what is it with this fine jolly young man this time. They just gathered around me to find out what is wrong ... when I showed them this post, they were just... bananas, we have had to consume an extra tissue box ... its owesome Donna; at first I was ready to say ... Oh, Karine, this expression ability should be taught here ... then I read ..."posted by Donna Striha ... you just sound the same ... its like you went to the same school of poetry, yet even this is anything but poetry ... just a simple expression of one's very heart. Donna, keep going... "we should not give up the habbit of doing good" ... " whatever is good, noble, honoranble, praise worthy ... holy, devote thy hearts to it" ...
